Substitutes

The Fresno County Superintendent of Schools (“FCSS”) strives to educate our students to achieve their potential by providing a safe and challenging environment where standards are high and learning is the priority.  To achieve this mission, every school day must be filled with a successful learning experience conducted in a positive nurturing environment.  It is critical that our schools have substitutes who will ensure that the education process is not interrupted when the regular teacher or Paraeducator is absent.  FCSS provides substitute instructional support within Career Technical Education Charter High School (CTEC),  Alternative Education, Special Education programs throughout Fresno County, and the Lighthouse for Children, Child Development Center in Fresno.

FCSS also has substitute opportunities within our Health Services Department which provides Licensed Vocational Nurses within our special education programs, and our Facilities Department provides custodial support.
